Warranty
What we stand behind
Plain English here. We tell you what's covered, what isn't, and how to get something handled if it goes sideways. No fine print games.
Labor: 5 years on new doors, 3 years on openers, 1 year on repairs
How long we stand behind the work depends on what the work was. Install a new door and we cover it for five years. Install a new opener and we cover it for three. A repair to what you already have carries one year. That is our own coverage, on top of whatever the manufacturer provides, and it applies to how we did the work: the spring we tensioned, the cable we wound, the opener we mounted, the gate we rehung. If our work is the reason it failed, we own it.
Parts and category-specific terms
Springs
Parts: 1 year on standard residential torsion and extension springs.
Labor: Covered under the 1-year repair coverage.
Springs are wear items rated by cycle count. Standard 10,000-cycle springs typically last 5 to 7 years in normal use. We can install higher-cycle springs (15K or 25K rated) at the time of service if you want a longer-lasting setup.
Cables, rollers, hinges, and small hardware
Parts: 1 year on parts we install.
Labor: Covered under the 1-year repair coverage.
Nylon rollers we install carry our 1-year coverage. The roller bearings themselves are typically rated for 5 to 10 years of normal use beyond that.
Garage door openers
Parts: 3 years from us on a new opener we install, and the manufacturer warranty applies on top of that (typically 5 to 10 years on the motor, 1 year on accessories).
Labor: 3 years on a new opener install. We handle warranty claims with the manufacturer for you.
Most of what we install is Liftmaster, which is the bulk of what goes on around here. If a covered failure happens, you call us and we deal with the manufacturer paperwork. A repair to an existing opener carries the 1-year repair coverage rather than the 3-year install coverage.
New garage doors and panels
Parts: 5 years from us on a new door we install, and the manufacturer warranty applies on top of that (typically 5 to 10 years on panels, lifetime on door section structure for premium brands).
Labor: 5 years on a new door install.
Panel finish, paint, and trim coverage varies by brand. We send you the specific manufacturer warranty document at the time of install so you have it on file.
Gate motors and control boards
Parts: Manufacturer warranty applies (varies by brand, typically 1 to 5 years).
Labor: 1 year on our install.
If your gate motor or board fails within the manufacturer window, we replace it and handle the warranty claim. Outside that window we quote the repair before any work.
Welding and structural gate repair
Parts: We warranty the weld for 1 year against cracking or pulling away under normal use.
Labor: Covered under the 1-year repair coverage.
Frame metal that fails elsewhere on the gate (not at our weld) is not covered. If that happens, we will quote the additional repair and credit any overlap.
What we do not cover
- Damage from a vehicle, storm, or impact (your insurance is the right path for these).
- Failures caused by tampering or DIY adjustments to springs, cables, or opener settings after our visit.
- Cosmetic wear that doesn't affect function (sun-faded paint, surface scratches, normal weathering).
- Power surge damage to opener boards or gate motors. We strongly recommend a surge protector.
- Pre-existing problems we flagged at the time of service that you chose not to repair.
- Acts of nature, animals chewing through wires, or tree branches landing on the door.
If something goes wrong
Something not right? Call (817) 789-7039 and tell us what's going on. We schedule a callback visit at the soonest available slot. If it's covered, we fix it at no charge. If it falls outside the warranty terms above, we tell you exactly why before anything else happens, and we quote the repair so you can decide. Either way, you get a straight answer.
