Gate Arm Replacement in North Richland Hills, TX
Bent or broken arms can't transfer power to the gate. We replace the arm, realign the geometry, and check the motor isn't fighting a problem we missed.
The arm is the linkage between a swing operator and the gate leaf. It takes the entire load of moving the gate, and it is deliberately one of the weaker links in the system, so it bends before the motor or the gate frame does.
Bent arms are almost never the root problem. An arm bends because something made the gate harder to move than it should be: a sagging leaf dragging on concrete, a seized hinge, a post that has shifted, or a vehicle that caught the gate. We have also replaced a fair number that were bent by someone forcing a gate open by hand while the operator was still engaged.
So we replace the arm and fix what bent it. Just hanging a new arm on a gate that still drags means we will be back, and you will have paid twice for the same repair.

Frequently asked questions
Why did my gate arm bend?
Because something made the gate harder to move than the arm was designed for. Usually a sagging gate dragging on the driveway, a seized hinge, or a shifted post. Sometimes it is a vehicle, and fairly often it is someone forcing the gate by hand without disengaging the operator first.
Can a bent arm be straightened?
We do not recommend it. Steel that has yielded once is weaker at that point and will fold again in the same place, usually sooner. Replacement is the durable fix and the arm itself is not an expensive part.
Will replacing the arm fix my gate?
Only if we also fix what bent it. That is the part that matters. A new arm on a gate that still sags or binds bends again on roughly the same schedule as the last one.
